Perth! from the city to the river..

10 years anniversary
Life is about memories, not diamonds.
True Love does exist..

#DAY1
SQ Flight
Arrival: 5am, 13 degrees celcius
This was no joke. This Ding confirmed repeatedly that it was SUMMER! and it was our first ever virgin trip to the Aussie. & it was a plain rush before our set-off. No preparation, no Checks! and we loaded up all tank tops, everything short and mini, and most of all, our bikinis, &! all ready for our SUMMER.
#nojoke #panicky
am glad, i brought along well, a light trench coat
and my GAP sweater definitely save her life on this trip.
No proper itinerary. Just a brief one;
Perth City > Freemantle Market > Mandurah > Margaret River > Perth City
only 3 pre-booked stays. It was literally Free and Easy!
One of a kind experience.
We booked rooms, where we met really sweet owners.

Here we are, in Perth City!
Set off with our Mitsubishi Outlander instead of Toyota Camry which we booked for.
Next stop!  To Sayers Sister for our Brunch.

I must say, an amazing start of the trip. Looks like an all-day brunch cafe. Click on the link to checkout more..
Portion was humongous! It was more than enough for the both of us.
Beautiful setup, all comfy and cosy.

Car park can cost an arm and a leg in Perth City. Ask around, people are really helpful. and that's how we got around mostly, just. by. asking..

We checked into our bagpacker hostel, and it was 1PM. It's a 6-bedded. We were travelling on a budget.
and so, with four room-mates, all male. but we were dead-tired to care. so we decided to slow our day, and we TOOK A NAP!
so, we were late by the time we woke. Late in Perth. Late-because all the shops are closed, or almost closing by now. So we decided to do home cook dinner! And here we are, the well-known Aussie SuperMarket!

Marketing was especially pleasant, looking at their price of wine and beef just thrills me.
Cheap Thrills, and i Loved it.
So wine, and beef, some portobello, cost us barely 15 Aussie dollars.
Now, heading back was Almost sun down by the time we got a carpark lot. So here's when the Epic moment begins. With the chilly wind, no more Sunlight warmth, no sweater, no trench coat, totally unprepared for the weather. It's about 5-8 minutes walk from our Free-parking space, back to our hostel. So, without any ado, we HAD TO open up our Red wine, hoping that'd keep us warm. Gulping down straight from the bottle was insanic. not that i thought so, but we've got glares, from pedestrians, to drivers from their cars, and even people riding on the buses.

So back in the hostel, we made our first Aussie dinner and Simply Heavenly.
Michelin Starred standard*
Chatted on the phone with my baby, precious moments are priceless, so these moments cost me about SGD$150. I KNOW! i treasure and know the value, but the price, nonetheless, was hard to avoid speaking of. Moral of story, get a local sim card for phone calls when u travel!

& our Day 1 ended at 830pm. Pitch Dark, and we dozed.
without washing up.

#DAY2
630AM. Shower was indeed refreshing.
Breakfast: COLES Instant Minestrone Soup + Wheat Toast.
Prepared and all ready to set off to the Fremantle Market.
One-stop before Mandurah!

The Yard & The Hall.

Long story Short. It was a clean and lovely pasar-malam. Singapore version of Pasarbella. & am loving it. Ding got a pure leather bag, at SGD$225. It was value for money, PURE LEATHER. I've got mine in Singapore at $300 over at a brand-less shop in Bishan J8.
Thats not all, a slab of Ribeye (1.5KG) at only SGD$65. A SLAB and i meant ONE WHOLE SLAB. So many hunnies! and most of all, the best of our Fremantle trip - THE CURRYWURST!
We were simply too hungry before we could snap any shots, but trust me, the smell can guide you well. So long ur nose are cleared..
Head there EARLY! It was really pleasant to stroll around with little crowd, till about 130PM when it got really crowded. and that was also when we had to setoff!

The view and scenery just got better along our drive as we head downwards, and away from the CITY.
Off to the Dolphins..!

#MUSTNOTBEMISSED.

MINDBLOWING Fish & Chips at a stupefying deal, thanks to our sweet captain SIMON that had brought us for our Dolphin tour, had an amazing private Experience with him. We even had a chance to sail his cruise boat! He was so everything kind and loving; made the whole experience gratifying and memorable. We had a few chase on a few pods dolphins and they were ang-moh size dolphins! hahah! well, been to bali, i must say the pods were asian size, thats how i'd like to describe it.
So there and then, was this tie-up promo btwn the tour and the restaurant, thats where we got our amazing deal: Instead of A$18, Only 8 aussie dollars for our meal; and one set was just good enough for both of us, and we had the other, few days later, when we were on our way back from Margaret River, where we dropped by Mandurah for a stop-over lunch!

What we saw?
Pelicans (ang moh size)
More than a dozen of grey bottled-nose dolphins
Water Birds
We went through Canals and saw many amazing houses.
There's a particular holiday home owned by a man, Elijah, whom comes by only twice a year. That was not the whole point. The main character wasn't him, but his housekeeper. #BESTJOBEVER

And heres where the best-priced oysters and wine are. HAPPY HOUR!!
a dozen of mixed plates oysters
half a dozen of blue cheese oysters
half a dozen of caviar oysters
2 glasses of house white wine each

Tonight, it got colder. So cold we are Shivering!!!
Our day ended early once again, 930PM. LIGHTS OFF!

#DAY3
7AM
Our Drive to Margaret River
Airbnb stay with Pamela, a stunning forest house. If you are lucky, u may have some wild Roos visiting you by the glass door in the morning right beside the dining area where u'll have your breakfast!

& here's our visit. Make a long story short..
#bestbeachever

#DAY4

Our Vineyards visit.

& we went to take a look at the amazing creation of the Mother Nature - The Cave.

Incredibly out-of-the-world!
Am glad i had Ding to photograph the spectacular scenes.
P.s.: am not-so-good a photographer..

So how we ended our night?
A bottle of red wine, under the starry sky. and guess what, two shooting stars in thirty minutes.
#phenomenal

#DAY5

Ahh, this is our way back to Perth City. Sun is getting warmer. and Ding is obviously well-dressed for this weather. "The Sun hates her", she says.

It's the Light house. and if we are a week or two earlier, we may be able to chance upon the bang-up sight of the sperm whales that visit along the coast which can be seen from the lighthouse.. It wasn't tall, just probably less than five storey high. But the sun is getting warmer by our fourth day, and the flies were incredibly annoying. and it was my first ever experience with the Aussie Flies. and had never know about it until this trip. I always thought kangaroos was the 'thing' of Aussie, never would i have expected that it was the FLIES INSTEAD. #nojoke It's a major concern.
I am not gonna nag on it, just the thought of it is already pissing me off; instead, let me give a word of advice. Bring along a swat when u go in that season. It's complete horror !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#DAY6

Then the Caversham Park, where we met BEVER!
So lovely to have her. at least, she took the flies off my mind for awhile...

Our last day! & off to the airport!!

Total damage for both of us: SGD $1800 for 6 Days in Perth.
It was lovely travelling, with ding. Our first virgin trip, together. Wonderful memories.

It's all about the Value not the Price..
